Our City Services
Welcome
to our Services section! Owosso City Services are organized in
accordance with an administrative plan adopted by the City Council. The
administrative plan provides for 14 offices and departments each of
which is headed by an administrative officer or department director.
These offices and departments are responsible for providing the services
that citizens traditionally associate with city government – police
protection, fire suppression, emergency medical response, street and
park maintenance, and water and wastewater utilities, among others – as
well as for the support services necessary to carry out these functions.
All administrative officers and department directors are appointed by
and report to the city manager except for the city attorney, who is
appointed by the city council.
