Boards & Commissions
In addition to the City Council, Owosso City Government offers
several opportunities for citizen involvement in municipal functions
through its various boards and commissions. Some of these, such as the
Planning Commission and the Board of Review, are involved in traditional
municipal activities. Others, including the Downtown Development Authority and the Brownfield Redevelopment
Authority have been created pursuant to state law for the purpose of
undertaking specific community development activities. All meetings of
boards and commissions are open to the public.
