Office Overview

Owosso has the council-manager form of government where the city manager serves as the chief administrator.  The city manager oversees the day-to-day business activities of all city departments and offices and is responsible for making city government run efficiently and economically.

The city manager serves and advises the mayor and city council on the development and analysis of policy recommendations, prepares a proposed annual budget for council consideration, enforces municipal laws and ordinances and keeps the community informed about matters of importance regarding municipal affairs.
