The City of Owosso is seeking a City resident with a background in architecture to serve on the Owosso Historic District Commission.
Owosso has an established local historic district. The Historic District Commission reviews proposed exterior alterations, new construction, and demolitions affecting historic properties, using the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties and adopted local design guidelines.
Applicants should have professional or academic experience in architecture and an interest in historic preservation. Experience with historic buildings or rehabilitation projects is strongly preferred.
